7 things to tell your child - so they can love their hair.

  1. Your hair is beautiful just like you.
  2. Your hair is very special and unique just like you. Everybody is different and afro hair isn't celebrated in the media. This needs to change! Be who you are be proud and "LOVE THE FRO AND LET IT GROW".
  3. Princesses have lots of hair types you can buy books on Amazon, they come from the states. Any they have positive hair messages like the one I brought. Penny and the magic puffballs
  4. "Your hair is big and beautiful"

All children anticipate growing up to be big and strong. No one wants to stay little forever so if they have that wild, big, beautiful hair tell them how great it is to have that big hair and how they will grow into it! Make them proud of their greatness.  This photo is Tais a Brazilian model.
  5. "When you love it, it will grow"
The love, care, and pride must be reinforced as we all have our down times when we just don’t like our hair. Its takes at least 20 min to an hour to get my daughters hair ready everyday.
Making the connection with love and growth is key so they will be love and nurture their hair. All living things need love whether it’s in the form of water, food, and care.
This is one illustration from Penny and the Magic Puffballs.

"Healthy food and playtime creates happy hair"

Start the relationship with good eating and exercise so it becomes a habit with your children. All the doctors agree that children (and adults) need to eat healthy and exercise, so incorporate that into their hair growth and overall health.

  • I love your hair-
The amount of people that want her curls and want to touch my daughter's hair when she wears it out is amazing. She is almost like a celebrity. So she has mostly stopped wishing for straight hair.

LOVE THE FRO AND LET IT GROW
