Camping hair ahh!!

We went camping it was great to get away and do it. Its my kids first camping trip ever. I went for a walk one early early morning and spotted this huge vintage tent in a garage sale. Wow I we can stand up in it. Heres a picture. Ok it has so many different poles we had no idea how to get it up. It was about 10am, so to avoid going home without a holiday. I walked around the campsite to try and find a similar tent.

I found some people with a camper trailer. It was old school. Luckily these nice 5 guys from Brisbane came over, between all of us we got it up. They were very kind to help us. Thank you good Karma is coming your way.

We were only away for 3 days, I didn't do my daughters hair thoroughly. Being away and on holiday in a tent park, isn't conducive to hair styling. Also going to the beach everyday salt water is very drying on the hair and the skin. Moisturise both.

When we arrived home I had a good look at her hair we are talking chunky dreadlocks , big knotty parts , ahh !!! What to do?? This called for extra action!

Extreme Measure - knotty dreadlocked hair

I with my wavy straight hair also had to call for extreme measure, when I was a kid. I was sick for about a week and I didn't brush my hair. I remember my Mum had to take to me to the hairdresser. These 2 hairdressers worked for hours to get my knots out.

With afro hair this happens in one day if its not combed through properly. What do do:

I put some Sukin hair conditioner in her hair, in the shower. I sell this for only $16 for 500ml + postage. SHOP hair products that work. Sukin Moisturizing conditioner As she is little I have to assist here. I am trying to get her to at least put some products in her hair on her own and to help.

Massage it in to the ends and mid lengths. Use your fingers to try and separate the knots. You do this by gently pulling little bits of hair off the knotty parts. If it hurts try a piece of hair from the other angle. Do this for a few minutes only as it will waste too much water. You can leave some conditioner in.

Once she is out, Just place a towel wrap on the head to absorb the water. Microfibre or just a normal one. Don't wring it As this makes it more knotty.

Add more product to her hair. Here use the Oasis Hair Food. Which I sell for $20. It smells so good and it is a good think combing cream. It has sunscreen in it to further protect your hair. Now you start at the front and work through section by section adding product, gentle using your fingers to separate the knots, and then combing it through with a wide tooth comb - which I also sell.
